I just can break out of this "melancholy" state of mind. I tried scrapping but my sewing machine has gotten the better of me. So I am stopping for the moment and will try again later. This was such a hard week. I was hoping to snap out of it but I still have not been able to break free. For those of you who do read this blog thank you and I appreciate your support. Prayers are welcome.
I do have a bright spot to share...yesterday I received some scrappy goodness from a fellow peep on clubck! what a welcome bit of sunshine to my otherwise cloudy atmosphere!:

it is a gorgeous morning today! a bit chilly but the sun is shining and God is good! the picture I took of the LO I was working on yesterday did not come out real well so I took one this morning! I used the Creative Scrappers sketch #194. It's just right for my style of scrapping - clean and simple! Hope everyone has a blessed day!

trying new techniques!

I made a few scrappy goals for this new year. One was to learn new techniques with PSE and I have learned a trick or two but I want to learn hands-on as well. Tonight I totally stumbled onto a new way (for me) to make a title by heat embossing on a transparency! I went to the copy place to get a transparency printed out for me but it was going to take ages so I bought a piece of transparency and brought it home. I put the sheet of transparency in the paper cassette of the printer and looked for a tab to choose what piece of paper I was going to print on. Now please understand that I don't have much experience in the realm of technology and this was going to be a stretch for me to accomplish the task at hand! I didn't find a tab anywhere near the element I wanted to print on so I just went for it and printed out the title I wanted. Well it seemed to print out fine even if it wasn't quite dry. I put it aside and went to work on the rest of the LO I was working on.
I looked at the transparency a little while later and thought it might have dried but no! it was still wet. So I had the idea to cover the title in black embossing powder and then heat embossed it and I love how it turned out!

I did end up finishing the LO but the lighting in the office/scrap room is not that great. I will take a picture of it tomorrow morning when it's daylight. Blessings my bloggy friends!

went to Bible study at church today and all I can say is WOW! I am so enjoying being able to attend Bible study with Treasure Seekers at church again! We are studying Beth Moore's James: Mercy Triumphs and I am in awe of God's perfect timing of this awesome study which I am sure was written just for me!! You know what I mean - when you're in church service and you can almost swear the pastor is preaching just to you - so that's me in this Bible study!!
off to scrap now! bit bluesy today so being somewhat creative I'm sure will help! either that or frustrate me to no end!!!! still working on that title in PSE......

I am working on a LO and thought of one of my goals for this new year which is to learn more about going digital like for embellishments, titles, etc. I am not so good at working with PSE and do not know how to "merge" alphabet letters to make a title out of different fonts and such. It's really frustrating me!!!! This is what I have so far:

Any suggestions or just how to do it would be greatly appreciated!

hee hee! just made myself giggle with the title! so it's been snowing on and off all day...we now have nearly 2" that has actually stuck to the ground as well as everything else! not sure if it will stick around though. The news says we should expect thunderstorms in 2 days time which means the snow will go away. Oh well! Hope everyone is having a good night! I need to start printing pictures I haven't scrapped yet from when I wasn't able to scrap! Make sense? hmmm I wonder! So here is a LO I did for Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays. It's a sketch from the extremely talented Jenny Evans!

I stayed true to the sketch because 1. I love everything about it and 2. I really needed some direction to get to scrapping! So thanks Jenny for the awesome sketch and here's what I did with it:

all the patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket and the rest - brads, twine, thread and ampersand sticker - is misc. BUT it's all from my stash! Yay! After this spending freeze I'm going to go nuts! Well, we'll have to wait and see! It is still snowing off and on but the ground isn't even covered! The news says it will get heavier as the day goes by. Hmmm! We'll just see!

a cloudy day

today it has been overcast and cloudy with a cold front moving in for the weekend. So today being a cloudy day was my motivation to get some scrapping done! Lately I love to "fussy" cut and stitch (hand and machine) on my LOs. I am still using only what is in my stash and love being surprised by what I can create with all the stuff I already have! This could be bad though because I may go crazy when the spending freeze is over and go overboard with spending on pretty scrapbook things!!! but I am taking precautions and making a list of what I would like to have so that I can make good decisions when I am finally able to buy scrappy stuff.
The LO I did today is from 2007 (yikes!). I only used 3 photos but I really like how it turned out!

8th infusion today!

hi there! I'm back from spending a few hours at the hospital for my monthly infusion of m.s. medicine. I feel great! Almost scarily so! (is that a word?) oh well! I have had tons of energy this week and I keep using really big words and making up new ones! I am so blessed by the Lord...I prayed to feel a little bit better with this new medicine and He gave me so much more! I haven't felt this good in so long! In fact I was afraid I wouldn't know what feeling "good" would feel like ever again...but I have been truly humbled by this experience and wouldn't trade it for anything! I have learned so much and have come to accept and appreciate my new "normal!" For all my scrapbooking buddies - yes! I will be scrapping my new "normal" as soon as I figure out how to make it come to life through pics and paper!
thanks to everyone for their continued support and encouragement! I am truly blessed and in awe of my Savior's grace and mercy! He thrills my heart! Blessings!

well it's monday and I am excited to start the week off with a LO I've been working on! I misted, I punched and fussy cut and glued a ton! This was fun! I'm still only using what I have in my stash and am just enjoying the creative process! I stitched (again) using my Bazzill templates, white cardstock, the green paper is by Sandylion, the mist is by Ranger, the hearts and stars are by Heidi Swap, and the mist design is an overlay by Maya Road. I'm still trying to decide if I need a title or some journaling - if anybody has a suggestion, please leave me a comment. It is much appreciated! Blessings!

Finished another LO - this one for an issue challenge at Club CK, using the colors brown, teal, and purple. I used two pics from a visit to the Missouri Botanical Garden in the Spring of 2010. This LO only used what I had in my stash yet again!

The paper is from M.M.E., the jewels are Martha Stewart, the flower is Bazzill and the stamps are S.E.I. The rest is misc. from way back when!

just rockin' to some kick *** music while I scrap the day away!!! Just finished a LO for a challenge at Frosted Designs - Fabulous Friday - To use 3 patterned paper, 2 buttons and a 1 word title. On this page I am still using only what I have in my stash! I'm super excited about this "spending freeze challenge!"

For some crazy reason, I'm really into hand stitching on my LOs these days! I really am just enjoying the creative process and not worrying about time and outside distractions. For example I love caller id so I can decide whether or not to answer the phone or just ignore it altogether! No worries! Of course I will answer when it's important...

Had a busy weekend and was on the move quite a bit! Real stiff today as a result but had a great time! Finished a LO for a challenge over at ScrapFit which is Workout #60 "It's The Simple Things" and I used a photo Mike took a couple years ago of one of my favorite flowers - the Gerber Daisy. I'm real big into stitching on LOs recently and flowers. Guess I'm wishful thinking about the upcoming Spring season! Had a blast with scrapping today - listening to my "Pride and Prejudice" CD and just enjoying the creative process!

I just finished a LO for Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays #33! It usually takes me longer to come up with a plan but when I saw Ashley's sketch - BAM! - it hit me and I knew what I wanted to do! Once again this LO uses only what I have in my stash like patterned paper from the Recollections line @ Michael's, Bazzill cardstock and borders, ribbon from who knows where (and when!) and a few other misc. items. I have several LOs started and finished 1 today! I hope to do some more after I post this!
This LO has me trying a new technique which is one of my scrappy goals this new year! I wanted to learn how to make a "chevron" strip to put on a LO or a card...I was on Studio Calico's blog a few weeks back and saw a tutorial by Jennifer McGuire (love her work!) on how to make one. So I tried it and I love it! It did take me two tries to really get the hang of it 'cos I used really patterned paper and got confused a couple of times piecing the papers together to make a strip. All the papers I used are from Basic Grey's Indian Summer line and this whole LO is from my "stash!" I still have not broken down and bought anything scrappy this year! It's killing me! But I'm holding out 'til (hopefully) the start of April or CKC here in June...

This was fun! I hope to be back later with another LO!

Welcome to my humble blog! Tomorrow is the New Year "Use Your Stash" Blog Hop and as I was digging - yes, I said digging! - through my stash I found this tool:

It’s been 2 years since I used this tool but I just had to have it when I saw it being used in a tutorial video! Just had to have it! Wanna know where I found this “awesome” tool I just had to have and haven’t used in two years? It was at the bottom of my tool basket! But I just had to have it!!!! It's funny because I did use it on a project recently but not nearly enough to justify just having to have this tool!

C'mon...we've all been there! The pretty paper, the newest tools and gadgets, after holiday specials, etc. Thus the start of "the stash!" I was challenged by a friend recently with a photo as inspiration to create a LO for the new year. This is what I came up with and everything on this page I used from my stash!

It's amazing what you can do by just searching through your stash! So now comes the cool part! I have a small giveaway:

New Year's Challenge!

Today I am going to get back to scrapping! I took a few days off to refresh and revitalize my mind, what with the holidays come and gone and all. There are times when I can't stop scrapping and then there are those times when it's like nothing is happening! So I take a step back, look at the blogs and websites I follow fellow scrapbookers on and get new ideas, fresh inspiration and some energetic motivation! It happens to all of us at one point or another. But what I love about the art of scrapbooking is that you can go back to basics or scrap outside the box trying out new techniques all at the same time! It's amazing!

I'm not big on making resolutions for the new year but one thing I would like to do is learn how to take better pictures and to learn more digital techniques that I can with photos to use on LOs. Today I learned how to "selectively color a photo." I started with a photo of my son and colored only the Santa hat he is wearing! This was fun! I did this LO for the Sketchy Thursdays challenge and was inspired by Corrie and Mariko and Diana. Thanks ladies!

I am thrilled with this challenge because just this past weekend I got the idea to do a LO of 2011: a year in review! nearing the end!

As we draw near to the end of 2011, I am going through the pictures I took over this year and planning to do a "Year In Review" LO. The last 6 months have been awesome for me and scrapping and the challenge at ScrapFit is to choose a favorite LO. It was fun looking back at the LOs I've created and I chose this one as a favorite:

As I look back at this year I'm reminded of how blessed I am with family and friends! I know lots of people make "resolutions" for the new year and I've done that before so I was thinking of how I can make a difference this coming new year. I'm very excited about keeping one resolution from this year (2011) and that was to read the Bible from cover to cover! I followed my Daily Bread devotional for direction on reading the Bible through. It was great! I have the NIV and the Message side-by-side Bible and so I read it through in the NIV so now I want to read it through coming by way of the Message! I am so excited!

Another "resolution" I want to try out is to use my computer and scrap digitally at least once a month. I have done it before and was pleased with what I created but I love hands-on pages a bit more! Well, off to scrap! Happy New Year to all! Blessings!

Yay! it's Christmas Eve and I am so excited about being able to actually participate this year! Today has been quiet so I was able to scrap! We are going to spend Christmas Eve with family and I just had to get in some scrapping! I have another LO almost finished...I just need to think of a title!

going on today...just a TON of activities! I met two moms from the M.I.T. prayer group I am a part of at the middle school and high school to drop off treats for the faculty for Christmas! M.I.T. stands for Moms In Touch...a group of parents who get together to pray for the students and faculty of our school district. This is the website: http://www.momsintouch.org/ It's a wonderful time of fellowship and prayer each week and I love it!
I am going to lunch with a good friend of mine in a few hours and then need to run some errands before school gets out. Tomorrow is a half day at school and the last day before winter break/holidays! I'm so excited for Christmas! I am picking up the kids tomorrow when school lets out and plan on taking them to Ted Drewe's for an early Christmas treat!
We had our Sunday School Christmas party at church last Sunday and it was really wonderful to see some familiar faces that I haven't seen in awhile. The church is all prettied up with Christmas decorations and I am looking forward to the Christmas Eve service and there is also a Christmas morning service. I am excited! Hope everyone is having a great day! I hope to scrap this afternoon!

word of the year

I did a LO today for a challenge - well actually several challenges - the first is for ScrapFit #57 "word of the year." I really got into creating this page 'cos this year has had its ups and downs! The first 3 months of 2011 I was in and out of the hospital, the summer was shot with the high temps we had, and I had several steroid treatments which are just plain hard on my body. These last 6 months have really been AWESOME! I joined Club CK and had the opportunity to meet and scrap with some wonderful ladies who have become friends I treasure! I started on a new M.S. medicine and feel a ton better! I had prayed for a long time to feel even just a little bit better and God has blessed me with so much more - more energy, better walking, just better all the way around! So I chose "be" as my word of the year. To be all sorts of different! I had fun coming up with ways to "be!"

I am also using this LO for 2 challenges over at Frosted Designs: for Fab Friday and Sketch Along Tuesdays Sketch #30. The ribbon I used runs along towards the top of the page.

Ladies at both sites - I just want to say thank you for all the inspiration and motivation y'all have provided me these past 6 months. What you have provided I call "scrap therapy" because the inspiration helps my mind and keeps my somewhat creative juices flowing and the motivation keeps me busy and active! What I have - multiple sclerosis - is a day-by-day disease and its hard to deal with sometimes but like I told the ladies at the crop I was able to go to scrapping has helped me to forget for a time that I am sick. So thank you ladies ever so much! Blessings!

Had my 6th infusion of M.S. medicine at the hospital yesterday...also had blood drawn for testing! Praise! Everything tested within normal limits! Now I'm just tired and worn out BUT I did get 2 LOs done today and had fun with it too! My birthday was at the beginning of the month and I got a Kindle Fire which is totally awesome! I did a LO with it for ScrapFit WW#20 - distressing and using at least one chipboard element. The flames were fun to make and I used some of the box the Kindle Fire came in that I tore up.

I finished another LO with a picture my mom took in 1983 of a beautiful cardinal in the snow on my grandma's bird feeder! All that white and a brilliant red cardinal made for a memorable page!

I want to thank the team at Creative Scrappers for the awesome giveaway posted this last week on their blog! http://creativescrappers.blogspot.com/ You all ROCK! I didn't realize anything 'til we had just gotten home from picking out our Christmas wreath at Ted Drewe's! I logged on to Club CK and a fellow peep had convo'd me about seeing the news on the CS blog. I am so excited! I really enjoy the challenges and look forward to seeing what comes next to inspire and motivate my own scrappiness!
We went to church today! It was really nice to see friends and spend time with them in community worship. The rest of the Christmas lights went up on our house today and afterwards we headed out to pick up our Christmas wreath! We drove around again to see Christmas lights only in different neighborhoods this time and wow! there are alot of Christmas lights on alot of houses this year! It was awesome! Here is a couple pics from tonight's adventure:

Hi there! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I am a scrappin' fool today! This LO was slow in the making because of the flower. I love what the DT did at Sketchy Thursdays and I was especially drawn to Kyoko's LO and Jenny's! The flower was actually much bigger when I bought it at the store but I cut it up and made it smaller for the page. This was a fun challenge! The flower is also extremely glittery (SP?) and I really like the effect of it on the LO! The challenge was to use glitter over at Frosted Designs. I was also able to use this LO for the color challenge at Club CK using cream, purple and blue. So now I'm off to finish another LO I just started about my parents. I'll be back when I get it done!

So I feel all scrapped out! I have two more LOs to do for this week but I'm going to wait until tomorrow and just veg out for a bit! In fact, I just received the new Creating Keepsakes magazine and I think I will give it a look! Here's the LO I've been working on the last hour or so:

I went to lunch with a good friend of mine today. It was a bit snowy outside but it didn't stick or anything and it was nice to get out and meet with my friend! I came home and got to scrappin'! It was great to use my scrappy goodies from American Crafts! It is the Hollyday line and perfect for this Christmas season! This LO is a before and after of our Christmas tree: before it was decorated and what it looks like after a whole 3 hours of putting on the ornaments and trim! It really is quite lovely!

We went to church this morning! Yay! I was able to discern God's hand at work in my life: the sermon was based on Romans 12 which is a favorite New Testament chapter of mine and is a page from the Bible I just received as scrappy mail from a fellow peep from Club CK! God works in mysterious ways and I am thrilled to pieces with what the Lord is doing in my life and that of my family's!
We came home and finished decorating the Christmas tree, which took us over 3 hours! We then went to Ted Drewe's and went through some of the neighborhoods in our area looking at the various Christmas lights! It was an awesome day and a great time of family memories and blessings we will treasure forever!

I am so very blessed with my family and today I did a LO with the title "Thankful!" I decided to liven my scrapping up with metal, ribbon and spray mist to name a few! The paper is Basic Grey and Bazzill, the metals are misc., the chipboard letters are Heidi Swapp and American Crafts, the stamp I used is from the Martha Stewart collection and the spray mist is Maya Road. Whew! That's a bunch of scrappiness! I had fun with this LO and I used the Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays Sketch #29 and for their Fab Friday challenge to use metal! Thanks for the motivation and inspiration ladies from Frosted Designs!

I finished this next LO today using all the leaves and such from the November toss "falling leaves" on Club CK! I had such a blast creating this page with items I received in the mail from fellow "peeps" like leaves and die cuts among other scrappy stuff! Awesome, awesome!

This next week is a bit busy but mostly during the evening hours so I can scrap during the day! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! and now onto the holiday season with Christmas right around the corner!

We went to the Hertel's for Thanksgiving and had such a nice time! How I looked was commented on more than once! I am so thankful for the friends and family we spent time with! I had the energy and spirit to participate this year compared to past seasons. I had my quiet time this morning with the Lord and cleaned up the house a bit. I'm so excited! I love American Crafts and can't wait to create with this line!

I finally was able to re-do the LO I did yesterday but had forgotten the element of stitching:

I used this LO for issue challenge #4 instead of #3 like I had originally planned! The title "school days" is all Thickers in different fonts.
I participated in the one hour challenge on Club CK last night! The challenge was to use "flocking" on a layout. I used snowflakes that were already "flocked" and love how it turned out! I'll tell ya what - an hour goes by really fast when you do this challenge! I had a blast! I also used this LO for issue challenge #3 on Club CK. My thanks to Ashley Horton for a great sketch to inspire us!

so that's it for today I'm thinking! We are off to the Hertel's tomorrow for Thanksgiving dinner and I am excited about spending time with friends and family! Happy Thanksgiving!

it's Thanksgiving week and the kids are out of school for the rest of the week! I did finish a LO today for a challenge at Club CK but have to re-do it a bit 'cos I completely forgot an element that was supposed to be included on the LO!      This was an extremely productive weekend! By that I mean getting stuff done! I finished 2 LOs and worked on tosses for December! It's been really fun to do the tosses on Club CK. Last month the theme was "falling leaves" and the theme for December is "holiday hugs!" I need to go through my stash and a little scrappy shopping is needed for this next month. I also got my "secret Santa" name so I need to get stuff together for that as well. It's going to be an awesome holiday season for me and my family, especially with me feeling tons better on the new m.s. medicine I get every month!
     Thanksgiving is this week and I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and awesome son! Then the following week, the beginning of December, is my birthday and then Christmas! I am excited to get our annual holiday wreath from Ted Drewe's for the front door and decorate the Christmas tree! I can't wait for our church services so I can worship the Lord and thank Him for sending His son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. Not that I need a service to go to to praise the Lord but the church is all prettied up and it's nice to get to be with our church family and friends!
     With that said... I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving and a stress-free holiday season! I hope to be back on here tomorrow with yet another finished LO! Blessings!

I went to the hospital for my 5th infusion of m.s. medicine yesterday and thought it went very well! Now I need to lay low for a few days to let the medicine do its work. That's okay 'cos I can scrap while I'm "resting!" lol
Tragedy has struck us here in our little world and it is very sad. I won't elaborate...it will be all over the news soon enough. It's already the top story on the local news channels. Though we are not involved personally, it still hit too close to home than I would have liked. Prayers are greatly appreciated! I'm gonna try and scrap but not sure how much I'll get done with a heavy heart.

Wow! Today was absolutely beautiful! In the 70s and lots of sunshine! We opened all the windows and there was such a nice breeze throughout the house. We had a fun weekend that included the arts and craft fair at Affton High School and Jordan (my stepson) and his girlfriend came to spend time with us this weekend! Liam was thrilled and so was Mike. I went to my friend Jill's on Friday to scrap and I got a pic of the clock saying "11:11" which I think is cool. I did this LO of my pooch Koko:

My friend Lynn and I went out exploring today! She is helping me on a mission to find some "stuff" for Mike's Christmas present! It is a GORGEOUS day, a bit windy and cold but still beautiful! The best news is that I am only using a cane to walk!!!!!! I feel great and am walking so much better! Praise God! I have been praying to feel better for a long time and now...He has answered my prayer! Glory to God! I want to thank all my scrappy friends for all their support and encouragement, as well as my friends that don't live in my computer! LOL So I'm off to scrap some. was able to finish 2 LOs today! yay! a productive day indeed!

the first LO I did for the weekly challenge at Club CK about a bat (yes! a real live bat!) my son found in our basement outside the door of his room! needless to say he freaked out and came and got me. My husband and next door neighbor used a mesh laundry bag to capture the bat and then freed it outside behind the fence of our backyard! This was only a few days before halloween too! Talk about creepy! we have no idea how the bat even got into our house in the first place so hopefully it won't happen again!

my son also did a LO today! I was quite beside myself with parental joy that he wanted to! I'll ask him if I can put it here on my blog. I think it's quite good! So tomorrow I am on a secret mission with a friend to capture a "Christmas gift" for my wonderful and loving husband! it's November! wow! where has the year gone?!

today was the "pastor appreciation lunch" at church hosted by the Circle of Friends class! Anne and I made the table centerpieces with spooky pumpkins and pansies! This was a way for me to serve the Lord by helping with the lunch. It was awesome!

I was able to start and finish a LO after the lunch for Sketchy Thursdays! This week my inspiration was Corrie and Tessa. Thanks ladies! I used artistic wire for the first time in a long time and had fun with it! I am also using this page for challenge #4 at Club CK which was to use punctuation. Hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween yesterday!

I am so excited and can't stop smiling! I just came back from the post office and walgreens and I did it all without using my walker!! I did it!!! My balance isn't that great but I walked slow and I did it!!! I called Mike and told him I did it! and now I can't wait for Liam to come home from school and share it with him! What a blessing! I finished another LO last night and have plans to do another one today! Yay! It's a rainy day here and much cooler than it has been. Okay, it's cold! BRRRR! But we had some nice fall weather for a time and for that I am grateful! I am going to a scrap at a friend's house tomorrow so I am getting together some photos and page kits to take with me to get done. I am not sure how much scrapping we'll get done but who knows?!
No big plans for the weekend. My blog is part of a Halloween blog hop this weekend so I hope you will join in for the fun of it!

the weather is absolutely GORGEOUS! praise God! it's supposed to get colder the next few days but this has been an awesome week and last weekend! I have been working on this LO for a day or so because I made my own "decorator pins!" I don't have any 'cos I've never used them so making them was a bit of a challenge. But I like the way they turned out! Thank you, Melissa, from Sketchy Thursdays for the inspiration for this LO and a shout out to Erika H. from Club CK for direction on how to make your own decorator pins! Thanks much

I had my 4th infusion of m.s. medicine last Tuesday and am feeling great! God is good! I have more energy and am walking a bit better! We went to Eckert's today and the weather was gorgeous! I was able to get on a big slide and slide down which was a ton of fun! and I was able to go on the hayride to go pick apples and pumpkins too! This was a really great day with friends and family! I was gonna scrap when we got home but all the activity wore me out. I was in the kitchen when Liam came running up the stairs from the basement freaking out about what he said was a bat! He wasn't sure but didn't want to go back downstairs to find out. So I went down the stairs to just about the bottom and looked at the window where Liam said he saw the bat and guess what? there was a bat!!! We didn't know what to do so our next door neighbor came over and him and Mike caught the bat in a mesh laundry bag and released it out back behind our fence! We have no idea how the bat came to be in our basement....but I got some good pics of it to scrap! LOL Tomorrow is church and I made a baked french toast casserole for Mike's class at church. At Eckert's I picked up some "spooky" pumpkins for the Pastor's Appreciation Lunch to make into centerpieces for it on Nov. 1st. It's a small way for me to serve the Lord by helping out. So I plan to hopefully scrap tomorrow 'cos Mike took me to Hobby Lobby yesterday and I picked up a few new papers for a few planned LOs! Yay! have a good night!

busy week! went to the London Tea Room last night to listen to music, a dulcimer. It was great! I was with the ladies from M.I.T. (moms in touch). We usually meet at my house to pray on Thursday nights so last night we took a "field trip" and we had so much fun just drinking different kinds of tea and conversating about a wide variety of subjects! Today is Fabulous Friday on Frosted Designs and I came up with this LO:

A rainy, gray day

I did 2 LOs, a two-pager, today of the baseball game we went to! It was the Cardinals vs. the Cubs! The Cardinals won! We had great seats and the weather was absolutely gorgeous! Thank the Lord! I got the idea for these LOs from a peep at Club CK when I was browsing for a scraplift challenge. This was a fun time!

I didn't scrap yesterday so after my quiet time with the Lord this morning I was ready to get scrappin'! I did a LO for fall. Yes, technically it's fall but the tree in our front yard is still thinking summer! The top has changed colors but the middle and lower half are very slooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwww! This one LO achieved two goals for me: a scraplift challenge and a weekly challenge at Club CK! I'm actually getting ready to do another scraplift, only this time it's gonna be 2 pages! Yippee! Have a blessed day!

I just have to take the day off from scrappin'! I didn't sleep too well last night. I went to see my PC this afternoon and she called in some meds for me. Mike is picking them up for me on his way home. I'm just down today and not sure why. Yesterday was church and it was awesome! God is so working in our church and people's lives! It's awesome to see! a nothing to do weekend! made a baked french toast casserole for breakfast this morning - the recipe is from the crop at Memories on Marshall. It turned out absolutely delicious! I have literally scrapped all week! I'm thrilled! I need to give a shout out to the CK peeps and the message boards! They helped me out this morning - out of a funk! I wasn't in a bad mood - just not feeling my usual uppity-ness! (I made that word up!) Mike comes home today! Yay! Had MIT here last night and that was a really great time of prayer and fellowship! MIT is Moms In Touch - a group of us moms in our school district that get together to pray for the students and our kids. It's such a blessing to be able to do this every week! I did a two page LO for a challenge on Club CK yesterday - it was a sketch challenge and I love those! Here it is and have a blessed day!

wow! had an awesome day today! ran an errand then scrapped all day! it took me awhile to get the LO I was working on just right! I got some scrappy mail from 2peas and thought I wasn't gonna receive it 'til Friday so that was part of the awesomeness! (i made up that word, i think!) I did some scrapping and finished a Sketchy Thursday LO as I was inspired and motivated by Diana and Lisa over on the blog post for yesterday's challenge! Thanks ladies! I had fun with a few different techniques like the flags and the wavy title. I used punches and bling, buttons and chipboard!

A busy weekend it looks like with our church's Fall Festival tomorrow where I am the CD player person for the cake walk! and Sunday is church for service and Circle of Friends class. Then of course there's football! I hope to get some scrapping done in between all that! LOL Have a great and blessed weekend!

London Tea Room cupping!

Lynn and I went to the London Tea Room last night for a tea cupping! It was a talk about various tea varieties and sampling those teas as well. The talk also revolved around the health benefits of tea. It was a ton of fun! Lynn and I had a blast!

How was the weekend for everybody?! I say that like people are reading this! mine was fabulous I must say! Saturday was a nothing day and Sunday was busy! We went to church where God is working big time! then we skedaddled home to meet up with Josh and his dad for the Cardinals/Cubs baseball game! Mike got the tickets last minute at Boeing. We had great seats and my energy level wasn't too bad. It was an awesome game! The Cardinals won! It was their last home game of the season. I hopefully will be able to scrap it soon. So all in all it was a busy, busy day but in a positive way!
So besides blogging, this is just a scrappy kind of day - it's really nice so the windows are open with a nice breeze coming through the house, I am working on a LO and have ideas for a few more. Now how many I'll actually get done is the question of the day! I'm gonna get to work!

It's Friday!

I don't know why I am excited it's Friday. I mean I don't work outside the home any more and I can pretty much do whatever I want, whenever I want! I do try and stay productive at home: dust, sweep, run and unload the dishwasher...you know, stuff like that. I look forward to the scrappy challenges every week and I read alot. So I did a LO today for Sketchy Thursdays and Frosted Designs. These are the only sites I usually do challenges from. This sketch was fun! I liked making a mess with the white paint! I couldn't find a paintbrush so I used a piece of jute/twine and ran it back and forth in the paint! The cardstock is from Archiver's, the dotted stamp is from Prima Marketing, the white paint is from Adirondack and for the stamp I used Versa Color.Everything else is misc. from my stash. Thanks to Natalia from Sketchy Thursdays for this week's inspiration and motivation! Everybody's LOs are simply awesomeness!
No big plans for the weekend. I may try riding my bike again but we'll see. We have church Sunday and then of course there's football!

I did a layout today for Frosted Designs and the #4 challenge at Club CK! I really wasn't motivated but as soon as I started scrapping the happy bug bit me! Scrapping is truly therapy for me. It helps me feel productive and happy that I'm telling a story for generations to come! This challenge was awesomeness! Thanks!

Yesterday went for my 3rd infusion of M.S. medicine and it went well. just a little dizzy and lightheaded when it was all done. Got signed up for Chinese Whispers on Club CK awhile back and finished the LO last night and emailed it to group head peep this morning. With that said I will post it after "the reveal!" I'm nervous for some reason...I guess it's just the fact that this was my first group thingy! It was fun though!
My coffee is cold! ahhhhhh! Since I'm getting around better and have more energy, I drove DS to school then hit Starbucks before coming home and doing my quiet time with the Lord! He is good and His timing is of course perfect! The scripture at the top of the page for today's devotional was Psalm 94:19 "when my anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought me joy". I had just found this verse last week in the Moms In Touch prayer group! It is so true that God works in mysterious ways! Yay God!

okay....so I finished the LO I was working on not expecting to finish it 'til tomorrow. But I did! I love the Echo Park paper so much this is my second LO using this it!

I got the ribbon idea from a peep in the CK gallery. I love how it worked! Never thought I would use buttons or ribbon on a boy LO but I think it works!

it's a rainy, kinda gloomy Monday! I was able to go to the Affton Days parade over the weekend! I will scrap about that this week. I am doing a LO today of my DS and me! Can I just say how great the peeps are on Club CK?! I made 2 new friends in the past 3 days! The warmth, support and encouragement are awesome! I get my 3rd infusion of new ms medicine tomorrow. After the 5th or 6th infusion I will stop calling it new. Seems kinda silly doesn't it? Anyway we went to church Sunday for the first time in a looooong while and it was great! God is so good! We all went to our respective classes afterwards and it was a real blessing for each of us! Well, off to scrap now!
